About the Editors John D. Beatty, Editor Emeritus of the Vick Family Newsletter, is the Bibliographer for the nationally-acclaimed Genealogy Department of the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A native of Detroit, he holds Master of Arts degrees in History and Library Science from the University of Michigan and has published widely on genealogy and Indiana local history. John is a tenth generation descendant of Joseph Vick: John D. [10] Beatty, Mary Katherine [9] Neal Beatty, Harold L. [8] Neal, Katie D. [7] Vick Neal, Presley W. Di Ann Vick, former Editor of the Vick Family Newsletter, did her under-graduate work at Lamar University in her native Texas and completed her graduate degrees in American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Formerly with ABC Publishing, she was a free-lance academic press editor specializing in early Southern history prior to her death in 2009. She was active in historic preservation and deeply involved in saving the historic buildings in Sabine County, Texas. Di Ann was a ninth generation descendant of Joseph Vick: Di Ann [9], Walter Price II [8], Walter Price [7], John [6], Isaiah [5], Jacob [4], ?Isaac [3], William [2], Joseph [1]. She lived in Philadelphia, surrounded by history. About the Publisher James B.
