Joseph Vick is believed to have had six children. Lucy, William and Richard are proven via deeds, inheritance and land transfers. John, Robert and Joseph are unproved but highly probable because they settled on lands either adjoining or near one another in the area originally settled by Joseph; they interacted in legal transactions; and there are no immigration records indicating separate immigration.
Joseph Vick, of Lower Parish, Isle of Wight County, Virginia and his Descendants is the first of a planned two volumes. Volume I covers the first five generations of his descendants. Researched, compiled, documented, edited and indexed by John D. Beatty and Di Ann Vick, the book includes anecdotal information about the historical periods covered by the book as well as genealogical information. The book includes extensive references and foot notes.
A center section includes illustrations and photographs of
Vick descendants, lands and homes. The book is printed on acid-free paper and is bound in leather with beautiful end-papers. This is an heirloom quality book that you will be proud to own, give as gifts, and pass down to your descendants.
